Neal Swain, EIT

Hard Worker | Outdoor Adventurer | Team Player

"I'm finding that many of us like to build in our spare time, whether it's home improvements, backyard rinks with makeshift Zambonis, or furniture. Columbia is a culture of builders and problem solvers. We make our client's problems our own problems, and then we solve them."

Neal Swain, EIT

Project Manager

Joined Columbia in 2015

As a Project Manager at Columbia, Neal  works closely with superintendents, owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure the successful execution and completion of projects. In his role, Neal manages projects by handling documentation, implementing and developing subcontractor scopes, and from time to time assists with schedule, logistics, and project execution development for proposals. Described by his colleagues as a dependable, detail-oriented, and persistent worker, Neal is a huge asset to the Columbia team. A graduate of Northeastern University with a BS in Civil Engineering, Neal’s favorite Columbia project to date is the mechanical upgrade work he did at a graduate dormitory at MIT.

Outside of the office, Neal spends his free time with this family and friends. Preferring to be outdoors, Neal enjoys hiking, rock and ice climbing, and woodworking. A huge proponent of strength training and mobility exercises, Neal likes to treat himself to his two favorite foods, ice cream and pizza after a good workout.
