Shaun Lover Inducted into the Farmington Sports Hall of Fame

A 1995 Farmington graduate, Shaun Lover played four sports for the Tigers (cross country, soccer, basketball, baseball), earning All-Southeastern League honors in all four. He is best remembered for his basketball and baseball exploits. A three-year member of the varsity, Shaun was named team MVP as a senior, averaging 14.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5 assists and 3.2 steals a game. “Like good point guards, he understood how to make other guys better,” said Shaun’s hoop coach, Hall of Famer Mike Lee. “He was a leader, competitive, a sportsman and ultimate team player.” In baseball, he was a four-year starter as a pitcher and shortstop. He batted .488 as senior with 21 stolen bases and 31 runs. He was a team captain and MVP.
