Columbia Construction’s proactive, comprehensive safety program strictly complies with all applicable sections of OSHA and regulations mandated either by law or contract. Our safety program clearly communicates our goals to employees, vendors and subcontractors, and strictly enforces our “Safety First” culture. Our current Experience Modification Rate (EMR) is .81, and has remained steady over the years.

Columbia develops project-specific Safety and Crisis Management Plans. Our rigorous subcontractor prequalification program requires all subcontractors to provide detailed proof of their safety procedures, and we conduct mandatory safety training for our subcontractors on site. We require each of our superintendents and project managers to be OSHA certified. Our Safety Director is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), as well as a Certified OSHA Instructor, and conducts frequent in-house training.
