Technology

Columbia has developed a proprietary, password protected Extranet project management tool which is used on every project we undertake. This 24/7 system can be modified to meet any specific project requirement, and it helps ensure constant communication between all team members whether in the office, on the project site or in a remote location.

We also utilize state-of-the-art technology for project management, budgeting, scheduling, and field operations, including InSite SiteWork™; On-Screen Takeoff; Primavera SureTrak; MS Project; and Revit and NavisWorks (BIM). This technology increases efficiency and helps avoid changes once construction commences.

In addition, our field staff is equipped with Tablet PC’s to record and store vital data throughout the project. Critical to Columbia’s QA/QC Program, this tool collects and tracks data during the MEP rough-in stage. This data is applied to the Work List, which then evolves into a draft Punch List.
