Berkeley Investments implemented upgrades to the One Empire Plaza office complex in downtown Providence, RI. The project, which unfolded in multiple phases, encompassed the revitalization of the entire six story, 104,000 sf building to include the main lobby, elevators, core building infrastructure and life-safety systems. The building was also reconfigured to accommodate multiple tenants, including Roger Williams University and the Social Security Administration.

Space for Roger Williams created over 76,500 sf of new classrooms, 100+ conference rooms, meeting spaces and offices, as well as a bookstore and cafe spread out over four floors. A large welcome area and gallery was also created on the second floor and be used for special events.

The Social Security Administration occupies space on the entire sixth floor, containing a variety of offices, a number of conference rooms, a server room, kitchenette and support space. It also houses a walk-in center with reception area and large lobby.
