"Columbia is where I have found my niche. It provides a sense of belonging, not only to the industry, but to its amazing team. At Columbia one will never lack opportunities to discover, learn, explore, and thrive alongside excellent co-workers"

Johanna Astudillo Gomez

Area Superintendent

Joined Columbia in 2022

A graduate of the University of Massachusetts Lowell with both a BS and an MS Degree in Civil Engineering, Johanna brings a deep knowledge of construction methods and sequences in structures to our team. She started at Columbia as a Co-op and quickly became an integral member of the field staff. As an Area Superintendent, Johanna is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of intricate Science + Technology projects. Known as a motivated team player with excellent time management skills, she helps manage construction sites and assists with the direction of all field workers to complete projects on schedule, within budget, and with great attention to quality.

Like her favorite cartoon character, SpongeBob Square Pants, Johanna is always ready! From playing the ukulele, enjoying a table tennis match, or jump roping for exercise, she is busy outside of work. A self-described food enthusiast, Johanna loves to discover the relationship between food and culture of different countries. A traveler and adventurer at heart, she wants to travel the world and experience the sites, sounds, and food of as many countries as she can.
