Robert Livingston, CSP, SMS, CHST

A safety and health professional with extensive construction safety experience, Robert has a proven track record of strong leadership and best practice focused safety and health management. Over his 35+ year career, which started with subway tunnel construction, Robert has successfully managed the day-to-day safety and health operations and management systems, as well as the risk management processes, for numerous projects.  Robert, who says he enjoys the multi-dimensional nature of his job, is responsible for providing field staff with safety and health leadership and technical assistance, while supporting the overall continuous improvement of Columbia’s organizational safety culture. Known by his co-workers for his honest, caring, and knowledgeable approach, he is genuinely committed to raising the safety and health bar on projects.  

Robert stays active outside of the office with his wife and their springer spaniel (Riley) enjoying hiking and kayaking together. A passionate fly fisherman and fly tyer, he makes regular trips to Montana, the Great Lakes, and the Pacific Northwest. His vacation wish list includes visiting Patagonia, Scotland, and Ireland, as well as Atlantic Salmon fishing in Northern Quebec, Norway or Iceland.
