Columbia Construction served as the Construction Manager for the multi-phase fit-out of over 380,000 sf of offices for Wayfair, located in Tower 4 of Copley Place in Boston. Headquartered in Boston, Wayfair is a growing, multinational e-commerce company.

The project was spread over multiple floors at Copley Place, with interconnecting stairs between floors. The layout consisted mostly of open offices, as well as new collaboration spaces for project teaming. The open office area utilizes individual desks with motorized desktops that allowed each user to independently raise and lower their work surface.

The space also includes conference rooms equipped with a DIRTT wall system with frameless glass doors. In addition to training rooms, a large reception area is central in the space. New finishes were installed throughout with exposed ceiling areas. Custom millwork is scattered throughout the collaboration areas. New energy efficient LED lighting was installed, in addition to renovating the existing mechanical systems.

In addition to the above project, Columbia has completed a 25,000 sf fast-track renovation at 177 Huntington Avenue (Wayfair's former headquarters) as well as swing space renovations at 500 Boylston Street
