Columbia Construction established a long-standing relationship as the sole Construction Manager for the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel in Boston. For more than seven consecutive years, Columbia managed all of Fairmont’s construction projects in this Boston landmark, totaling nearly $40 million of construction, and over $10 million in FF&E packages. 

Our work at the hotel has included the overall refurbishment of the exterior facade and window replacement, as well as a larger, more complex project to refurbish all 383 guestrooms, bathrooms, and adjoining corridors. In later phases, Columbia renovated the lobby area, retail space, meeting rooms and the popular Oak Bar. Major infrastructure projects were also performed, including ADA compliance upgrades and structural modifications to support equipment being installed.

Throughout our time working at the Hotel, Columbia refurbished all guestrooms and corridors in the building twice.
