To enhance the patient experience and increase access to specialty services, Beth Israel Lahey Health expanded its outpatient offerings just minutes from the main hospital campus.
As part of this initiative, the Orthopedic Clinic was relocated from the main hospital to a newly designed space spanning two floors. Clinical services are housed on one level, while administrative functions occupy another, creating an efficient and patient-centered environment. The new clinic features a shared reception and waiting area, 26 exam rooms, two General Radiology suites with dedicated changing rooms, a cast room with treatment bays and DME storage, a hand therapy unit, support offices, and restrooms.
In addition, the existing Neurosurgery & Pain Suite underwent a comprehensive renovation to support more personalized and focused patient care. Upgrades included a refreshed reception and waiting area, expanded exam rooms, enhanced office accommodations, and modernized support spaces.
Both projects transformed the spaces into modern, flexible healthcare environments, improving operational efficiency, fostering staff collaboration, and creating a more seamless and comfortable experience for patients and their caregivers.
